Barbie - Prime Video & Apple TV

Finally, the record-breaking movie of the summer is available to enjoy in the comfort of your own Mojo Dojo Casa House! If you didn't contribute to the movie’s $1.4 billion box office sweep, you can now stream the instant cult classic featuring everyone's favorite doll. This fun flick will throw you on a roller coaster of emotions. You will laugh. You will cry. You will have a phase where all you wear is pink for a week. With a stacked cast featuring Hollywood favorites Margot Robbie,  Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, and Kate McKinnon, this movie also confirms my personal theory that you cannot have a coming-of-the-self movie that America Ferrara isn’t in. So this weekend, Barbies grab your Kens, and Kens grab your “buddy” Alan, and enjoy this fabulous film!
Sitting in Bars With Cake - Amazon Prime
Picked by Senior Editor Dina Ross
Take some of my favorite words (sitting + bars + cake), put them together, and this almost seems like a no-brainer. This dramromedy (drama + romance + comedy) is based on the true story of Audrey Shulman, a Hollywood writer who decided to try to meet her match by sweetening the pot when she went out at night. When her best friend received a life-changing diagnosis, everything changed. Shulman's blog about the experience set the stage for this new film starring Yaara Shahidi, Odessa A'zion and Bette Midler
BS High - Max

Bishop Sycamore High School in Ohio made national headlines in 2021 when its athletes got trounced in what was supposed to be a game between two elite high school football teams. During the broadcast, color commentators began to question the legitimacy of the Bishop Sycamore team as the network was unable to confirm that any of the players were set to play at the collegiate level after high school. But the story is much, much more tragic than losing football games. The school wasn't even real. The documentary dives into the mastermind of the fraud, Coach Leroy Johnson, and how he took advantage of not only players and their aspirations to eventually play football at the highest level, but how he also took advantage of their parents and scammed them out of thousands. From PPP loans to hotels booked under alleged high school athletes' names, it is an insane ride – to say the least. And perhaps the most heartbreaking part is at the end when HBO catches the audience up on the current status of many of the players' lives.

This movie is the reason I'm about to go to Croatia. As soon as the credits started rolling, my wife was researching trips for us to visit an Adriatic island like the lead in this Under the Tuscan Sun-esque rom-com. Self-discovery, beautiful scenery, romantic moments comically foiled by goats and children: Why not?
