It's time to get a dose of what to stream this weekend with recommendations for Blonde, The Hype, Abbott Elementary, and a throwback pick for 

This highly-anticipated biopic on Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe takes a look beyond the blonde bombshell who draw photographers from around the world at the woman who she was, born as Norma Jean. The film stars Ana De Armas, who received a 14-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. As a forewarning, this is Netflix’s first NC-17 film. The movie was visually stunning. Ana de Armas looks great. The shots look good — the script is just, eh. I’d recommend watching it and deciding what you think for yourself.

The second season of HBO Max's The Hype has arrived. Up-and-coming streetwear designers compete for a chance to snag $150,000 and deals with some of fashion's biggest influencers including rapper Offset, stylist Marni Senofonte, and creative director and founder of Bephie Beauty Supply, Beth Birkett Gibbs. The designers compete in a number of challenges in each episode and one is voted off until the season's winner is crowned in the finale. If you're into fashion, competition, and maybe you're even looking for inspiration for your own closet, you won't be let down with this watch.

The sweet comedy set in a Philadelphia elementary school is back for its second season, just off of its three Emmy wins. Quinta Brunson, the showrunner/star, returns as Janine, a young, idealistic teacher trying to bring her mostly Black students the best education possible while connecting with her fellow teachers and outrageously quirky principal. While it's absolutely one of the best comedies to have hit television in some time, the laughs can sometimes turn to tears — of joy, as these educators seemingly move mountains for their kids. 

It was an exciting week here at Cheddar HQ with the launch of our new show Celebrity Lemonade Stand, which features stars talking about their journeys from first jobs to their latest money-making ventures. After you check out the first episode with Kel Mitchell, you can also throwback to All That, the kid's sketch show that helped Mitchell become a star. Children of the mid-90s into the 2000s may remember the Nickelodeon comedy that also launched the careers of actors like Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), Nick Cannon (The Masked Singer), and Amanda Bynes She's the Man).
