Cheddar's Digital Team recommends the streaming premiere of 'Shang-Chi,' prepping for Season 2 of 'Tiger King,' figuring out 'How to Get Away With Murder,' and a classic show about nothing.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - Disney+

Picked by Digital Editor Mike Nam
If you missed this MCU entry because you just weren't comfortable going back to cinemas yet, the theatrical release window is finally elapsing this Friday. On Disney+, join Simu Liu in his breakout role as the titular master of kung fu with his sassy best friend Awkwafina and the Hong Kong film legend Tony Leung, who plays his father — and nemesis. The superhero action-adventure ticks all the Marvel movie boxes but also brings much-needed representation to its shared cinematic universe, even if the third act is a bit of a CGI mess. Come for the majority Asian cast. Stay for the popcorn thrills.

Tiger King  - Netflix

After last weeks' binge-watch, I need to get ready for another round of crazy on the small screen, and boy, oh boy, is it coming. This weekend I'll be catching up with the man who kept us distracted as the pandemic set in: the Tiger King! Season 2 drops next Wednesday, November 17, so it's time to prepare. Since Season 1 left off, the drama has continued in the real world for Joseph Maldonado-Passage, aka Joe Exotic. While serving a 22-year prison sentence for attempting to hire someone to murder his foe, Carole Baskin, he got a break from a judge who found his sentence should be reconsidered. He had hoped to get a pardon from President Trump, but that never panned out. Just this month his attorneys asked a judge to release him after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. There's plenty more to catch up on in this never-ending saga, so I'll have to buckle in and get ready for the ride.

How to Get Away With Murder - Netflix

Picked by Producer Lawrence Banton
Once upon a time, Thursdays were reserved for ABC's How to Get Away With Murder and since the series ended back in May 2020, the day before Friday just hasn't been the same. So, let's bring back the best murder-mystery series to hit the small screen. The story follows criminal defense attorney and law professor Annalise Keating on a dark, alcohol-infused journey to save a select group of students known as the "Keating 5" — a brilliant callback to the now-infamous group of U.S. senators accused of corruption in 1989 — after the murder of someone very, very close to Professor Keating. The murder leads to a catastrophic chain of events that sprawls six seasons, ultimately causing even more death and unexpected betrayal. Have your wine handy because the amount of twists and turns in this series is stress-inducing.

Seinfeld - Netflix

Picked by Reporter Alex Vuocolo
So you may have noticed an uptick in memes featuring the iconic '90s sitcom this past month. That's because Netflix started streaming the series in October and already it seems like a Seinfeld revival is underway. People are sharing favorite episodes, characters and jokes, and polling each other on whether they're a George, a Jerry, an Elaine, or a Kramer. For long-time fans, it's been a fun and overdue rediscovery. For first-timers, I can only imagine it's been a revelation (though I'm sure some find it dated). Either way, the episodes are only 20 minutes long, so why not give it a try? Perhaps it will fill the spot left behind by The Office, before the platform lost the rights earlier this year, as your go-to comfort watch.
